Jubilee Celebrations

The whole school came together today to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. After a bank holiday weekend full of festivities, the fun continued in school with us dressing up as Kings or Queens or in red, white and blue clothes. Everyone looked amazing and there was a lot of excitement around the school. Chertsey museum visited us and gave a wonderful assembly all about the Queen and her coronation. The children loved seeing the different fashions that have been around during the Queen's reign. Year 2 also had workshops delivered by the museum and thoroughly enjoyed them. Unfortunately, the rain meant we were unable to have a picnic on the field but we did still have a picnic in our classrooms. We all came together at the end of the day to sing God Save the Queen. It was a lovely way to round off the Jubilee festivities.
